Έργο etwinning: "Walking with the Dinosaurs"

 STEAM (or STEM) is not about one activity but rather it’s the process or journey of learning to be curious, explore, and investigate.
Exploring the world of the dinosaurs, volcanoes and meteorites (one of the most favorable theme for children of this age) we become problem solvers, innovators, self-reliant, logical thinkers, technologically literate!
Science encourages investigation and answering questions, often involving experimentation.
Technology refers to using simple tools like crayons and rulers, as well as more complex ones like microscopes and computers.
Engineering refers to recognizing problems and testing solutions.
Arts encourage creativity and allow children to illustrate concepts they are learning.
Mathematics deals with numbers, but also patterns, shapes, organizational skills and much more.
The project will last 6 months, from January 2022 to June 2022 and will involve all partners with ideas and contributions for activities.
As our students are very young they will be guided by teachers who will collaborate on methods and activities.
Each month activities will be planned by the partners with a common theme but from a different perspective e.g. Artistic / mathematics / technology etc. These activities will be implemented by all schools and their actions will be announced for everyone to notice.
Participants will develop their general competences: they will increase their communication and consultation skills with adults and peers, improve their thinking, expression of ideas, independence, expand their vocabulary, solve problems, express their feelings and emotions, explore - experiment, discover the curiosities of the world around them, and enjoy learning something new. Teachers will gain new ideas for organizing children's activities in kindergarten.

Βιβλία σε ρόδες

 

Το «Βιβλία σε Ρόδες» είναι ένα πρωτοποριακό πρόγραμμα που επιδιώκει να καλλιεργήσει στα παιδιά την αγάπη για το διάβασμα και την πρακτική του δανεισμού. Το πρόγραμμα ξεκίνησε το 2012 στην Αττική με 8 βαλίτσες και 3 θέματα και σήμερα έχει 150 βαλίτσες (3.700 βιβλία) με 25 θέματα. Πρόκειται για μικρές, κινητές θεματικές βιβλιοθήκες που φτάνουν στη σχολική τάξη όπου παραμένουν για έναν περίπου μήνα και δίνουν τη δυνατότητα στα παιδιά όχι μόνο να ξεφυλλίσουν, να «διαβάσουν»,  να ακούσουν αφηγήσεις αλλά και να δανειστούν βιβλία.

Το έργο απευθύνεται σε παιδιά ηλικίας νηπιαγωγείου και πρόκειται να αναπτυχθεί μέσα από τις θεματικές των εργαστηρίων δεξιοτήτων. Χρησιμοποιώντας κατάλληλες δραστηριότητες και πολύ παιχνίδι θα προσπαθήσουμε να καλλιεργήσουμε στα παιδιά δεξιότητες απαραίτητες στη ζωή του σύγχρονου ανθρώπου. Τα παιδιά θα μάθουν τη σημασία της συνεργασίας, της επικοινωνίας, της δημοκρατικής συνύπαρξης, της αποδοχής, της συμμετοχής, της προστασίας του περιβάλλοντος. Θα μάθουν ότι σημασία στη ζωή έχουν τα μικρά πράγματα που κρύβουν μεγάλα νοήματα.
The project is aimed mainly at children of kindergarten age and will be developed through the themes of 21st century skills workshops. Using appropriate activities and a lot of play we will try to cultivate in children skills necessary for the life of modern man. Children will learn the importance of cooperation, communication, democratic coexistence, acceptance, participation, protection of the environment. They will learn that small things that hide great meanings are more important in life.

Στο έργο αυτό, με αφορμή τις σχολικές γιορτές, ασχολούμαστε με θέματα που είναι σχετικά με τις γιορτές που γίνονται στο νηπιαγωγείο όλη τη σχολική χρονιά.
Το πρόγραμμά μας φιλοδοξεί να αναδείξει τις γιορτές ως παιδαγωγική εμπειρία μάθησης και ταυτόχρονα να αναπτύξουν οι μαθητές την κριτική τους σκέψη, την φαντασία τους να ενισχύσουν τις γνωστικές και κοινωνικές δεξιότητές τους.
Το έργο δίνει έμφαση σε ομαδοσυνεργατικές διαδικασίες, στην παράλληλη χρήση συμβατικών μέσων διδασκαλίας και μέσων από το χώρο των ΤΠΕ και στην χρήση ποικιλίας τεχνικών και δραστηριοτήτων.

In this project, on the occasion of the school holidays, we deal with issues that are related to the holidays that take place in the kindergarten throughout the school year.
Our program aspires to highlight the holidays as a pedagogical learning experience and at the same time to develop student 's critical thinking, imagination enchance their cognitive and social skills.
The project emphasizes collaborative processes, the parallel use of conventional teaching tools and ICT tools, and the use of a variety of techniques and activities.
